We love this recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I usually only get to bake a few cookies when I make this recipe because....we LOVE cookie dough at our house. This recipe is delicious, baked....or not:)
Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 t baking soda
- 1 1/2 t salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (I use semi-sweet chocolate chips)
Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together sugar, brown sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Add baking soda, salt and flour. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake @ 375 for approx. 10 minutes.
I am craving cookies now. Chocolate chippers always hit the spot!

Wow Ive never seen this ratio before with chocolate chip cookies (2 eggs to 1/2 c butter. usually its 1 egg to 1/2 c butter) I'm gonna have to try this. They look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the ratio too - I made this and it seems really dry and crumbly. I'm going to add some butter and see if that helps.
